Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • 12–15 years of software engineering experience, including at least 8 years in project and people management with a proven track record of effective team leadership.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and empower high-performing software engineering teams.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure successful, high-quality, on-time, and within-budget delivery of projects.
  • Technical Leadership: Stay updated on emerging technologies; provide hands-on technical guidance.
  • Development Lifecycle: Oversee the full software development lifecycle, including enhancements, maintenance, scalability, testing, support, and roadmap planning.
  • Product Strategy: Contribute to architecture decisions, communicate technology roadmaps, and establish effective resource plans.
  • Agile Practices: Drive agile methodologies to deliver repeatable, scalable, and testable software.
  • Project Management: Oversee requirements gathering, project scoping, planning, engineering execution, implementation, and the rollout of new features.
  • Standards & Procedures: Enforce established software engineering standards, best practices, and procedures.
  • Scheduling: Manage and maintain team schedules and resource allocation.
  • System Maintenance: Oversee maintenance and continuous improvement of existing software systems.
  • Release Management: Coordinate sprint planning and software release activities.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and leadership.
  • Third-Party Integration: Evaluate and plan integrations with third-party tools, add-ons, and interfaces.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate knowledge transfer, mentoring, and team learning initiatives.
  • Code & Design Reviews: Lead code reviews and participate in technical design reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
Role Proficiencies:
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in C/C++ or GoLang.
  • Deep understanding of REST APIs, debugging, and troubleshooting complex software systems.
  • Experience in multiple development environments.
  • Technical acumen in developing complex applications, including platform-level design, interoperability, performance optimization, and integration.
  • System level thinking with an emphasis on software Integration
