Conduct risk-based assessments on critical equipment
Review design, operations and maintenance data. Identify applicable failure modes and damage mechanisms;
Specify appropriate inspection and non-destructive testing techniques . Determine frequencies of internal and external inspection and document;
Develop Written Schemes of Examination compliant with JM standards based on RBI assessment. Periodically review and update written scheme of examinations
Develop and maintain a database of written scheme of examinations.
Furthermore, the Senior Risk Based Inspection Engineer will specify repair procedures compliant with recognized good practice standards for critical plant equipment. Undertake plant visits to understand plant equipment condition, design, process chemistry, and gather required documentation for risk-based inspection assessments.
Role Proficiencies:
Educated to degree level in mechanical engineering discipline.
Valid certification in any one of the following: - API 510 - API 653 - API 580/581
Fully conversant with API, ASME, NACE codes, standards and recommended practices.
Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g. COMAH, Chemical, Oil & Gas
Good understanding of maintenance techniques and their application
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience in development of Written Schemes of Examination & Performance Standards
Knowledge of asset damage, ageing and corrosion mechanisms
Experience in Risk Based Inspection assessments
Knowledge of Microsoft Applications and other industry standard application packages
