Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and administer GitLab and Git servers, including upgrades and migrations.
Monitor GitLab server performance; identify and troubleshoot optimization issues.
Manage projects, repositories, and configure permissions and access levels.
Administer user accounts, roles, and permissions to ensure system security and integrity.
Manage and configure GitLab Runners, CI/CD pipelines, and executor environments.
Execute scripts and perform tasks using the GitLab console.
Collaborate with engineering, security, and IT teams to design secure and scalable solutions.
Implement and maintain security protocols ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Analyse logs and system reports to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Configure Git push rules, merge request approvers, and enforce DevSecOps practices.
Provide support for GitLab-related incidents and service requests.
Maintain basic operational knowledge of ClearCase servers.
Utilize Linux systems for GitLab support, including command-line and virtualization tools.

Role Proficiencies:

Bachelorâ€™s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Â 4 â€“ 5 Years of experience in IT Engineer or a similar role.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred ITIL certification.
Proven experience in GitLab server management and administration.
Solid understanding of Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
Proficiency in Linux OS and virtualization technologies.
Familiarity with security compliance, access control, and DevOps best practices.
Experience with scripting and log analysis for troubleshooting.
Knowledge of ClearCase is a plus.
