Operational Excellence Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • specialist role is accountable for working with internal and external subject matter experts to a) develop the necessary content, training material and standards for all JMPS pillars, b) develop maturity assessments for the programme, c) mentor and coach sites in deploying the elements, d) assess site maturities using the assessment tools, e) develop data and reporting apps with the data and systems specialist.
  • Safety . Provide safety leadership by setting safety expectations and promoting a safety culture.Ensure safety is built in all processes
  • Together with the Businesses, develop the necessary content, training material and standards for all JMPS pillars. Mentor and coach sites in deploying the elements,Collaborate with key stakeholders across the sites to identify and design core and bespoke training and associated curriculums. Leverage internal and external expertise to develop maturity assessments for the programme. Assess site maturities using the assessment tools.   • Internal/External stakeholders .Develop and maintain strong collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Build a culture, mindset, and community centred around continuous improvement.
  • Centre-Business Integration .Active member of the JMPS cross functional community, leading and participating in the development and implementation of JM’s production system.Connect with sites to collaborate and develop the production system together. Drive connectivity, coherence and integration between sites, businesses, and central functions, ensuring capabilities are properly adapted and weighted towards the businesses’ priorities.
Role Proficiencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in lean, continuous improvement, manufacturing engineering and Operational Excellence
  • Experience in developing and deploying operational excellence on a multi-site level, international business environment and across different cultures. Essential
  • Strong, structured, project management principles
  • Ability to reduce complexity and uncertainty and provide clear concise training material applicable to diverse audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills, able to influence and persuade a wide range of stakeholders in a matrixed organisation.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, data, and reporting apps
  • Experience of developing and delivering training at multiple organisational levels.
