Key Responsibilities:

Monitor SIEM alerts and logs to detect and investigate potential security threats.
Perform incident response and escalation for high-severity events.
Collaborate with cyber defense and SOC teams to refine detection rules.
Assist with drafting security status reports and remediation recommendations.
Mentor junior analysts and support team knowledge sharing.
Research emerging threats and maintain threat scenario frameworks.
Support strategic security initiatives and compliance efforts.

Role Proficiencies:

Technical Skills: Proficient in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, etc.). Familiarity with log analysis, network tools, IPS/IDS devices. Incident investigation and escalation workflows. Scripting automation using Python or PowerShell. Security engineering understanding including policy and architecture.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Excellent communication, especially translating technical insights into actionable reports. Team collaboration in fast-paced SOC environments. Adaptability in 24/7 operational settings.
