Key Responsibilities:
  • Trading Strategy is responsible for data analysis of trading data that will generate value added data points for the Desk to utilize for business decision making.
  • Assist Traders with Morning Notes, Market Flows, Evening Market Wrap, Work on Regulatory reporting, Broker certification, Technical Analysis, Transaction Cost Analysis, and other Statistical Analysis that will help the traders manage their business more efficiently.
  • Trading Assistants will begin to align themselves with the trading process and work to find new ways to add more dimensions to the service Global Trading provides to the Research Groups or to the Trader’s decision-making process.
  • Given the nature of these reports and the recipients, this position requires close oversight and continuous innovation of the process.
  • Through training and on the job experience, the Trading Assistant may learn the techniques and develops the skills necessary to analyse Real-time market data.
  • Trading Assistant should also interact with other departments like Operations, Compliance, and sales for providing any data as per requirement.
  • Work on Quantitative models, Trading and Portfolio Analytical tools to optimize big data and come up with ideas on improving efficiency.
  • Run stock screener on existing universe of Portfolio to suggest stock ideas based on historical data.
  • Analyse TCA reports and come up with inputs on how to further improve performance.
  • Support Real time and Post trade Venue/Algorithm analysis for better Algo Selection and improved Trading Performance
  • Manage Broker certification.
  • Do a periodic survey of commissions.
  • Work on Market share Study for India Desk.
  • Work on Free Float report for CIO on monthly basis and highlight any big changes.
  • Work on Liquidity Study for select larger portfolios on Ad hoc basis.
  • Morning Notes, Delivery Data Analysis, F&O Cues, Evening Notes.
  • PM Specific Execution Report, SOI Reports.
  • Help Traders manage daily phone calls on flows.
  • Co-ordinate with GTS team on Trade settlements, COAC team on any corporate actions like Buy Back, Rights issue etc.
  • Closely work with Global Trading Analytics team to simplify, streamline reports for improving efficiency, maximize usage of data, consistency across reports and better decision making.
Role Proficiencies:
  • Good knowledge on Capital Markets and Quantitative modelling.
  • Good understanding of statistical models like T-test, Factor analysis, Time-Series analysis
  • Understanding OProgramming language used.
  • Knowledge on Data collection and database
  • Exposure to risk management tools preferably
  • Effective verbal and written skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Should identify and interpret trends.
