Principal Integration Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • INTEGRATION SCOPE: Participates in the analysis of customer's system configuration for initial integration and ERP migration projects, build ERP specific integration points within internal applications, customer facing applications and ensure validity of data.
  • SOLUTION DESIGN: Recommends technical solutions to meet integration requirements. Where standard solutions pr out of the box solutions do not meet customer requirements or pose significant risks the Integration System Engineer develops and recommends an alternate solution. Provides direction for overall integrated transaction and data flow across various stakeholders.
  • TEAM SPIRIT: Ability to work as a collaborative member of a project team with an understanding of Agile methodology. Communicates directly with customer technical resources or managers to coordinate and complete project tasks.
  • CONFIGURATION: Develops ERP specific solutions and third-party applications and tools to perform the required interfacing functions, build and configure transformation services using internal integration tool.
  • TESTING: Creates test plans and meet stakeholder requirements. Drives execution of test plan with customer, including validation of results applied to sufficiently reduce post go live support risks. Assists in validation of implementations after go live.
  • DOCUMENTATION: Provides documentation deliverables as required for each of the key project tasks including requirements, workflow diagram, post-support recap, step by step training guides and internal FAQ guides.
  • INNOVATIVE: Continually provides input to team and management as to how to improve upon processes and procedures to ensure that both customer expectations and team deliverables are met as efficiently as possible.
  • SUPPORT: Provides knowledge transfer, assists in definition of SLAs, etc., as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand integration requirements between various applications like SalesForce, Agile, ERP systems, Snowflake, etc.
  • Design, develop, and implement efficient and reliable API and File-based integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and/or other middleware.
  • Create technical specifications and documentation for integration solutions, including mapping data fields, defining transformation rules, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Perform system analysis and troubleshoot integration issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the development team to configure, test, and deploy integration solutions, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and security.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and performance tuning of integration processes, optimizing system efficiency and stability. Implement and manage exception handling mechanisms, ensuring proper error logging, notification, and resolution processes are in place to maintain data integrity and minimize disruptions to the integration flows.
  • Adhere to IT controls and security protocols, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and maintaining a high level of data security throughout the integration processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in API integration and Oracle Fusion technologies, recommending improvements and innovations to enhance the overall integration landscape.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and partners, as necessary, to ensure seamless integration between systems and resolve any integration-related challenges.
Role Proficiencies:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working on API integration projects.
  • Strong understanding of integration concepts, standards, and protocols such as REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and OAuth.
  • Extensive experience integrating Applications and middleware platforms.
  • Proficient in designing and implementing API and File-based integrations between the systems ERP, CRM and Data Warehouse
  • Solid understanding of data mapping, transformation, and data synchronization techniques.
  • Familiarity with integration patterns and best practices, including error handling, exception management, and security considerations.
  • Ability to analyze complex integration requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient integration solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Prior experience with SAP, Oracle ERP and EPM, SalesForce, Flexera , Snowflake will be a plus
