Key Responsibilities:

Analyze trends & challenges from the external and internal business environment, provide strategic financial planning inputs to business heads in developing Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP); . Validation of business case for new strategies, investments and expansion plan and validate targets assigned to businesses on revenues, operating margin, profitability metric etc. . Set-up sound processes and systems for monitoring and reporting of financial performance of the company
Analyze various business financial reports and MIS to holistically assess company (and each business) performance against budgets and targets, challenges businesses on efficiency of financial metrics . Assist in preparing the management profitability report listing performance of all the businesses/products to identify underperforming business / product/ portfolios/ geographies . Review revenue, cost and profitability with business heads, jointly work with the business teams to plan any improvem
Ensure timely preparation and audit of monthly and quarterly financial reports. Facilitate timely and smooth closing of quarterly review and annual audit of financials by statutory auditors. Interface with auditors for accurate and timely financial reporting and certification compliance requirements as laid down by various authorities and regulators including Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Reserve Bank of India, Institute of Chartered Accountants, Security and Exchange Board of India etc. Hand
Provide overall direction for taxation strategy at ABC, and lead the formulation of company taxation policies, oversee tax structuring and planning across direct and indirect tax. to minimize tax incidence & ensure full compliance of tax regulations. Advise businesses on taxation-related aspects like transfer pricing strategy, inter-company settlements, tax deduction at source, tax impact of financial transaction, tax compliances etc. to ensure best compliance of taxation as also tax accounting
Monitor/ review metrics and performance of the finance teams with respect to assigned targets to ensure adherence to timelines and commitments . Participate in meetings related to quarterly closing, auditor engagement, board meetings to provide perspective on business financial performance and reporting aspects .Participate in Asset Liability committee meetings and provide perspective and suggestions on investments and borrowings strategy Regular and need based engage with investors and analys
Participate in recruitment process to identify the right talent at senior positions within the function . Establish individual performance expectations and regularly review individual performance of the team. Identify and create development opportunities, training, induction sessions for team members to enhance functional knowledge.

Role Proficiencies:

Minimum 15 years of work experience . Industry experience (Banking, Financial Institution and Insurance â€“ BFSI) and specific working experience with companies with diverse finance product offerings such as mortgages, personal loan, micro financing etc. (Bank/ NBFC) . Deep knowledge of financial numbers and ratios . Experience in handling companies across life cycle â€“ financial growth, loss etc. Experience of handing large scale project and business partner role
Educational Qualifications - Chartered Accountant (preferable) or similar qualification / Masterâ€™s in business Administration â€“ Finance
