The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of an Associate Manager will include but are not limited to the following:
Preparing case for opinion, assist in briefing counsel and Draft submissions for scrutiny & appeals.
Preparation of tax computation and filing of Income Tax Returns for clients. Along with the same, preparing and filing TDS and SFT returns.
Conducting statutory audits, tax audits and transfer pricing audits of various clients.
Assisting in various Advisory assignments by analysing the case, undertaking the research and co-ordinating within and outside the organisation.
Drafting work papers (memo, reports, presentations, proposals, computations, etc.) in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint ensuring adherence to a prescribed style and format.
Initiating research on technical topics to contribute towards assignments as required.
Supporting seniors in drafting memo's/ opinions and reports for various structural and transaction advisories under Income tax and FEMA, getting them reviewed and presenting the final report to client for closure.
Analysing various updates and court rulings on income tax and identifying their implication(s) for clients and sharing this with seniors / clients.
Assist in preparation and filing of forms as required under FEMA regulations viz Form FC-GPR, ODI, FLA, etc.
Maintaining strong control on facts and figures for all the assignments working upon.
Working on developing and maintaining client relationships.
Developing strong working relationships with colleagues across service lines (tax, assurance, etc.) and across different locations.
Assisting seniors in sign offs, raising the invoices, arranging debrief meetings and following up with clients for payments, etc.
Accompanying seniors for the tax hearings as and when needed.
Overseeing the work of Articles and Associates.
Our expectations from the Associate Manager are as follows:
To have atleast completed 3 years of articleship
Other prerequisite skills include:
Decent work experience into income tax covering atleast basic compliance of return filing and tax audit report.
Decent written and verbal communication skills
Decent commercial and economic awareness
Good interpersonal and networking skills
Passion for client servicing
Semi Qualified CA, Completed 3 Years of Articleship
